Website Redesign: Henrik Vibskov Boutique

While studying Multimedia Design and Communications at KEA (Københavns Erhvervsakademi), my final project was creating a new solution for Henrik Vibskov Boutique (HVB)’s webshop. After having finished a 4 month web and communication internship at HVB, it became clear to me that the webshop had flaws and lacked many common features and had poor navigability.

From meeting with the Store Manager/Buyer and the Web Manager from HVB, it became evident that the webshop lacked a smooth flow, which included many dead ends and links driving the user away from the webshop. A lot of the existing sales at HVB came from another platform called Farfetch and HVB was having trouble getting their customers to shop directly on their webshop.

By conducting research on the target audience, competitors and stakeholders, usability testing of the existing website was conducted in order to develop the new solution to provide a better user experience, which would in turn, lead to higher conversions. I was personally involved in creating the design manual and website mockups. We included important features such as filtering, sorting and a search bar along with more advanced features of Instagram Shopping and Abandoned Cart Emails.
